My wife and I were very pleased with our stay there. Should I visit Ghana again, I will surely contact you for accommodations. It was well maintained, very clean and safe. The surrounding area was great also. Your staff was very good. Hakim Ali, MN USA September 2010

Ms. Ekua provided the best service that we could have ever hoped to receive. She took extra time to make sure everyone in our delegation was well cared for. I'm back in Chicago now. I want to tell you how accomodating both Edwin and David were on this trip..... Ghana Airways changed the schedule, then cancelled me outright before I finally arrived late Sunday night. David was there waiting (I phoned Edwin to tell him the time).... Ted, Chicago April 2004.

Lancaster Oceanside Lodge, Winneba: I am now back in the UK after a very productive time in Ghana.Thank you for your patience and understanding during our stay in Winneba. I hope that one day we will be able to stay again. Jon, U.K. February 2005

Our trip to the land of our ancestors was an experience of a life time - informative, educational, eye opening, sad - but its history that must be told and we should know. Thanks for the planning and execution of the tour. Everything went like clockwork, topped by Awuku(our tour guide)being so patient, pleasant and his way of imparting the history culture, etc. of our roots. Eddy our capable driver certainly opened up in the last few days. We would be remiss if our gratitude did not extend Okoe. He was always on call with a smile. The other gentleman(Baba) in his quiet way did his bit. Thanks again for a fun-filled time and an experience for the bragging book. Elwin Expedition to Ghana April 2005...Joyce, Toronto,Canada
Sumatra Lodge was my home away from home. There was much comfort provided,to the point where I wanted to be alone curled up on the couch. There was much peace and tranquility.I would definitely return to my home away from home. Sharon, Toronto, April 2005.

"Thad:It's good to hear from you and I’m still marveling over the success of our trip to Ghana. It was beautiful and I will never run out of “Thank You’s” for you and Edwin and Sam; and of course Awuku and Joseph. It was a fantastic trip that must be duplicated some time in the future." John Lamkin PhD, Director, University of Maryland East Shore, Jazz Ensemble which toured Ghana in May 2005.
The facilities were great! Air conditioning was such a wonderful luxury...The staff were very easy to work.... Kwesi was very generous with his time and energy—driving us around as we needed, and giving us a big tour of Accra. He was very easy to get along with, and he took us to some very beautiful parts of Accra that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise been to. He went out of his way to make my stay a pleasant one (e.g. he made fufu and groundnut soup for my last meal after asking what my favorite Ghanaian food was)...The reservation process was very easy. Dr. Ulzen was great. The staff were very accommodating when I came back to Accra two days before my flight back to the United States....Daniel, Minnesota March/April 2006
Java House, Elmina was outstanding. The property was great. The accommodations were very comfortable, and I felt very at home....Lucy Obeng, the Property Manager and her husband (Francis)were great!!!! The food was amazing! and the reservation process was very easy as Dr. Ulzen was extremely easy to work with, and very flexible.... I can’t say enough good things about Lucy and Francis. Truly they are gems—not only did they cook our meals and take care of Java House while we were there, they went out of their way to be helpful in being cultural interpreters, and treated us just like family. I can’t wait to come back!.....Daniel, Minnesota March/ April 2006 at Java House, Elmina.

Sumatra Lodge is in a very nice part of town — quiet, comfortable, very private surroundings....The Property Manager and staff were all very kind and helpful. Java House (Elmina):This was a great place and a wonderful location. Of course, air conditioning would be wonderful but I understand that’s a pretty expensive proposition. Lucy and Francis were wonderful hosts. They were so friendly and so knowledgeable. Everything was taken care of..... Rheanna, Rochester Minnesota, March/April 2006 [Sumatra Lodge, Accra & Java House, Elmina].
....The trip to Nzulezo was awesome we all had a blast. It's been a real blessing for me knowing you and visiting your home land.....God bless you. Bill, Philadelphia, March/April 2006
I had a wonderful stay at the Chalet. The staff and amenities were excellent. I'll be back!... Ray Collins, London, UK July/August 2007
